Most of the Appointment Letters available on the website are legal appointment letter, required in terms of the Construction Regulations, OHSA or other applicable Regulations.
Some of the Appointment Letters are not legally required but have become an acceptable tool in the industry to ensure compliance to the requirement.
The appointments that need to be made depend on the following:
Number of employees on site
Whether you are a Principal Contractor of Sub-Contractor
Your scope of work
Client specifications may require appointments to be made over and above the requirements of legislation.
Appointment letters should be printed, completed, and signed by the relevant appointees and put in the file.
For appointment purposes, the name of the person appointed as Contractor should be used
